Learning Day: Natural and Nature-Based Climate Adaptation


Join the New Brunswick Environmental Network for a free learning day in Sackville, where you will:

• Visit three natural and nature-based climate change adaptation projects in and around Sackville;
• Develop a deeper understanding about the role of natural infrastructure in climate change adaptation;
• Learn about the opportunities and challenges for implementing natural infrastructure projects;
• Connect with experts from the field.

11:05 AM- Walk/carpool to storm-water pond
11:15 AM- Site tour for storm water pond (Jamie Burke & Dwayne Acton)
12:00 PM- Return to the Sackville Commons
12:10 PM- Lunch
01:00 PM- Walk/carpool to rain garden
01:15 PM- Site tour for rain garden (Amanda Marlin & Kelli-Nicole Croucher)
02:00 PM- Return to the Sackville Commons
02:15 PM- Drive/carpool to Aulac
02:30 PM- Aulac Salt Marsh Restoration site visit (Jeff Ollerhead & Nic McLellan)
