As RCE Tantramar works to coordinate collaboration at home, it is also important for our RCE to connect and learn from the over 100 other RCEs around the world! This community of RCEs and its ties with the United Nations University give unparalleled access to experience with and expertise on education for sustainable development.
The 7th Global RCE Conference will be held in Tongyeong, the Republic of Korea, from 21 to 24 September 2012. The Conference will look to the end of the Decade on Education for Sustainable Development in 2014 and beyond, providing a vision for the future and generating the momentum needed to make that vision a reality. RCE Tantramar is excited to send one of its coordinators, Emily Phillips, to Korea for this conference. In the lead-up, RCE Tantramar has already participated in an international discussion of RCEs in the Americas. Emily will participate in the following strategic discussions: Climate Change, Higher Education, Capacity Development, Engagement with Policy-makers, and Communications & Outreach.
